Hi, I’m Cynthia, artist, creative explorer and lover of color. Thanks for visiting. My love of color started with my first 64 box of Crayola crayons. Over the years, that love of color, and all things creative, has expressed itself in pottery, tole painting, murals, and crafts too numerous to mention. I never dreamed of calling myself an artist. Then ten years ago, I picked up an art journal and some acrylic paints, and I never looked back.

My artwork is about curiosity and discovery. Inspiration comes from ordinary days and experiences--the curve of an unexplored trail in the distance, a splash of color in a neighborhood garden, the intricate web of bare tree limbs in winter, or the sparkle of sunlight on water. I work with a variety of mediums including acrylic paint, pastes, graphite, and most recently, watercolor and ink. Each layer inspires the next, until the finished work emerges from the many layers, marks and textures. I hope that you discover something new with each viewing.
